Privacy Policy

StockPilot ("we", "the app") helps Shopify merchants forecast demand and manage reordering. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and your choices. We collect the minimum needed to provide the service.

What we access

With your permission, StockPilot reads the following from your Shopify store:

Products, variants, inventory and locations — to show stock levels and compute reorder recommendations.
Order line items — quantities, dates and the variant sold — used to calculate sales velocity and forecast demand.

What we do NOT collect

StockPilot does not store customer personal information — no names, emails, addresses, or phone numbers. Order data is aggregated into product-level demand figures. We never build customer profiles.

How we use data

Solely to provide the app's features: demand forecasting, reorder points, purchase orders, reports, cash-flow and inventory planning. We do not use your data for advertising, and we never sell it.

Third parties

Shopify — the platform your store and our app run on.
AI answers (optional) — if you use the "Ask your inventory" feature, aggregated, non-personal inventory figures are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate an answer. No customer PII is sent.
Email (optional) — if you enable low-stock email digests, we use an email provider (Resend) to send them to the address you configure.

Storage & security

App data is stored in our application database on our own server, isolated per shop and access-controlled. All traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data only while the app is installed. When you uninstall, or on request, your shop's data is deleted. We honour Shopify's mandatory data-protection webhooks:

customers/data_request & customers/redact — we hold no customer PII, so there is nothing to return or erase for an individual.
shop/redact — we permanently delete all of your shop's data.

Your rights (GDPR/CCPA)

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Because we store no customer PII, most requests concern shop-level app data, which is removed on uninstall.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
